| Hey anybody who's still subscribing to my xanga! It's been a really really long time since I've written....almost 2 months. Nothing really exciting has happened. It's just been school as usual. But finals are next week, and that means this week I have almost no homework and am very unproductive. Today I have already gone to class, worked out, showered, eaten lunch, done my only assignment for the week, and checked my email and facebook.
This afternoon I'm tutoring Paige. Paige is an eighth grader in pre-algebra. I really enjoy tutoring. I think it's good experience for me as a teacher, plus I get a little spending money for it. Earlier this semester I tutored Bethany, a college student who hasn't had math in a long time and wanted help studying for her graduate school entrance exam. We worked on her geometry and algebra, and became fairly good friends in the process. Tomorrow I start tutoring twice a week at Landon Middle School. Unfortunately I'll have barely started and it will be Christmas break. Oh well.
I am looking forward to the break. The best part will be spending lots of time with Nick. Also, maybe I'll work a lil at Sonic and save some money. And of course, I'll spend plenty of time with my sisters. And hopefully I'll get to see them both play some basketball while I'm home.

| I haven't written an entry in a long time, don't know why. So this weekend was a blast cuz I spent it with Nick, and he's amazing. I was actually kinda sick Friday which sucked, but I cheered up when Nick arrived.....only problem (for him not me) I fell asleep at like 8:30 or something. Poor guy. Saturday was nice and lazy. All i know is we got up early enough to watch the KU v. KSU game (yeah KU sucked and I was way disappointed). Actually I did a lil hw during the game, cuz I had a huge mid-term today and I needed to start studying. Finished up with major studying on Sunday after Nick left at 11:30. Only took breaks for lunch, a nap, dinner, desperate housewives and grey's anatomy. Hopefully I did ok with the multi-choice and short answer part, but I still have to do the essay portion of the mid-term.
This week is homecoming here at Washburn. There's events on campus all week. There's even a dance which I don't think I'll go to cuz i don't know neone who is. But I will be going to the big football game saturday, which should be fun. Besides that it's just school as usual til a week from thursday when fall break starts. guess that's all i got for now. leave me some luv. | | |
| Hey all! I know it's been a while since I've left an entry, so here it goes......Right now I'm watching Kelly and Regis. I really like this show, but mostly i just like laughing at the two of them bantering back and forth for the first 15 minutes or so. Once they get to the interviews, it isn't as entertaining. Today is my easy day....I have linear algebra at 8am (I know, it sucks, but that's the only time it's offered), and then I have EPIC (it's an education course) at 1. I also have a math club meeting today. I know, I know, that means I'm a nerd, cuz only nerds are in academic clubs right? Well keep on laughin, cuz I also happen to be secretary of math club. Now most of my readers already know this, but for any new ones, I guess you now have an additional excuse to make fun of me. So I just noticed that Kelly is wearing a very eighties dress today.....It has puffy sleeves with shoulder pads for goodness sake. What is that? Are shoulder pads coming back in style? Do I need a dress like that? Give me some feedback people.
So last weekend was really fun. Lauren and I went to the Brooks and Dunn concert, which rocked! Big and Rich was so much fun, they really pumped the crowd up for B&D. Then I got to spend lots of time with my family and Nick, which is always good. Next weekend Nick and I are going to his cousins wedding. It should be fun. I'm looking forward to it. | Hey all! I started class today. It was pretty good. I know I'm a nerd, but I was actually excited to get back into the grove of things. Plus it's always interesting to meet everyone in your new classes. I was supposed to have anthro at 9am, but it got canceled because my professor is in the hospital. I hope she's ok, but I sure didn't mind sleeping in. Then I had history at 10, which was a blast cuz Dr. Bearman is so funny. Calc was next. It's weird that we don't go five days a week anymore. I had lunch with lauren in the union and it was crazy busy. Then my ed psych class. It was ok, but I couldn't really focus......I don't know about this afternoon class thing. Then I went by the b-ball office and talked to Coach Mac and Odie. Now I'm just avoiding homework. Hope everybody else's day was good. ttul, alex | | |
| So today was a long day at work......all the customers were in bad moods. This one guy was a total @$$#*!^. He said he wanted sonic size chili cheese tots and got large size, but I took his order, and he never said that. But he made us make him new ones in the bigger size even though he didn't get charged for the larger more expensive size, and he conveniently already ate the "wrong ones". Then he storms into the store just before they're finished demanding a full refund because he's already done eating his food, and he doesn't want to wait for them. He was yelling and arguing with my manager. He got the corporate phone number, our general manager, and shift managers names and was still pissed off when he left. It was so frustrating cuz he really didn't have anything to complain about, but we were accomadating him anyways, and he was still being a jerk. Some people suck! Plus, I mad like $40 in tips, but it seems like I shoulda made way more as busy as we were. | | |
